I recently had the awesome opportunity to create Vanity Fair Style Portraits for the theatre students at Platte County High School prior to them attending the Blue Star Awards Ceremony by Starlight Theatre.
I worked with the theatre department during the 2022-2023 school year to help create promotional images for their stage productions of “The Addams Family Musical: High School Edition” and “The Servant of Two Masters.” It was so much fun to hang out with these awesome students and create professional images for them, unlike anything they have had before.
The students were honored with 12 nominations at the Blue Star Awards, including Outstanding Overall Production! When I found out about the nominations I talked with the theatre teacher about doing Vanity Fair Style Portraits for the students prior to the ceremony, kind of like they do for the award winners at The Oscars. She chatted with the students and everyone was onboard and excited, so I got to planning the best way to bring my portrait studio to a high school classroom and what you see below are the results.
I love creating Vanity Fair Style Portraits and think it would be awesome to provide this style of portrait for a high school prom instead of the “normal” prom picture.
All backdrops in the images were painted by Backdrops by Jeremy Ellsworth.
