Seven years ago, when I started my adventure in to the world of photography, I had no idea what I wanted to focus on. After about 3 years of shooting everything, I found my groove creating portraits of High School Seniors. I did sessions with both guys and girls, but always found that my edgier style was more suitable for the gentlemen.

See, I am drawn to places that are dirty and broken, places that have character. I believe that the surroundings of an image share in telling the story of the image. These types of places also give way to a more dramatic, unorthodox, and artistic style of portraiture to shine. That style and these places are where I thrive and the guys think the commercial stylized images that come from it are awesome. However, it is difficult to find a photographer that specializes in high school senior boys.

When you search for Senior photographers the majority of them focus on females. Which makes sense considering we all know that most men have no desire to get pictures taken. My goal is to change that mentality. The experience that these young men, your sons, will have and the confidence it will bring to them will forever change the way they think about getting their pictures taken. Together, we will create a session that highlights their strengths, hobbies, and interests. We will showcase the men they are becoming and the awesome lives they live.

This is why I choose to specialize in senior portraits for boys. They deserve the opportunity to have a session that focuses on them, created with them in mind, and images that don’t look like what all the girls are getting. Let’s give the guys pictures they want to share. It’s time for something new and a little unorthodox to happen in senior photography, and this is it.
