It is hard to believe that a month has already passed since Caleb + Heather got married. The entire trip went way too fast and it was awesome being able to be such an important part of my cousin’s wedding!
My brother, Jason, officiated. So we made the road trip from Kansas City to Nashville together. We left early, like night time early, on Thursday, the 14th of April and arrive in Nashville with just enough time to check in to our hotel and head to the rehearsal. Everything went super smooth and it was off to dinner.
Jason and I had every intent to go check out the Nashville music scene after dinner. Then dinner ended and we realized we are old men and went back to the hotel to sleep. 🙂
Friday was wedding day, but we had a few hours in the morning and got to check out some of the sites in Nashville. We went to a guitar store that my brother wanted t0 check out and then headed over to Antique Archaeology. It was a good morning just hanging out. We decided we should grab some lunch and headed to the venue, Loveless Barn and Cafe, to eat. We are obviously not local and quickly were informed that there is always a several hour wait to eat there. So we ran to Subway.
After lunch it was go time! Everything went beautifully. The bridal party was awesome. The bride and groom were amazing! The reception and dancing put the icing on the wedding cake. It was just an all around perfect day. It is always an honor to be asked to photograph a wedding. It is even more special when the bride is your cousin and you have known her since she was born. Congratulations to Caleb and Heather. I hope and pray that your marriage is constantly full of love and happiness. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your wedding.
After wrapping a late night, Jason and I got a few hours of sleep and made the drive home to Kansas City on Saturday. It was a whirlwind trip and it was awesome!
Below you will see some of my favorite images from the big day.
