I would like to start a new series called, “This Is Me.” I guess we will see if it takes or not. But it will provide you with some more insight in to who the man with the camera is.
I have found, over time, that when asked to share personal information or create and “about” section for a profile, I lean towards just sharing surface information. Maybe I just don’t like talking about myself. I have never been one to seek to be the main focus or center of attention. In large groups of people I will do my best to blend in to the background. So to share these more personal tidbits is not the easiest thing in the world for me. (I am secretly hoping some of you can relate.)
So who am I? Let’s start with this. I am a guy who loves rap music. In middle school I secretly listened to N.W.A. and learned every word. Sorry Mom & Dad. 🙂 I remember trying to rap along with every new song that came on the radio and I still do that today. However, most of the rap music I listen to now is faith based and has a positive message behind it. I still love the talent of Kendrick Lamar and others in the secular industry.
I love rap music so much, I even pretend to be able to rap every now and then. (Bet you didn’t see that coming.) Further down in this post you will see some videos that prove this to be true. Fair warning, I am not saying I am good at it. 🙂
I have carried my love for the rap genre in to my passion for photography with a personal project called “The Kansas City Christian Hip Hop Project.” You can follow it on Facebook here and on Instagram here. This project allows me to work with some amazingly talented individuals in Kansas City and bless them with portraits that they can use for their ministry. You can support this project by purchasing some awesome apparel here.
Here are a few images from the project.
If you have made it this far you deserve the opportunity to see these videos. Please be kind. 🙂

There are more, but we will save those for another day. 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little more. I will share again soon, I promise.
