Stephanie Rohr is a staple of the Kansas City Fashion community. If you don’t know her or have not met her, it is because you have not been to any fashion events in KC. I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie a couple years ago and Kansas City Fashion Week. I was a photographer and she was a model that year. It was a brief introduction that turned into an amazing connection with someone I now call a friend.
Shortly after I photographed Fashion Week I ran into Stephanie while I was working another event that she was a guest at. We discussed collaborating on some photography projects in the future and I am sharing one of those with you today. There will be more to come I assure you.
Stephanie volunteers her time with a local fashion organization/magazine, Local Fashion Link. Twice a year Local Fashion Link puts on a fashion show called Local Runway. Here is her bio from the Local Fashion Link website.
Stephanie has been a part of the KC fashion community for over seven years as a print/runway model, and transitioned to a runway/photo shoot production director two years ago.
Stephanie has been with the Local Fashion Link team since 2017. When she’s not wearing heels, she’s a history nerd. She has a Master’s degree in history from UMKC, eight years experience working in museums, and is an Executive Board Director for the Jackson County Historical Society.
I have had the pleasure of photographing this event and will be doing so again this coming September 13th. (Some tickets are still available, you should get them.)
Stephanie is a powerhouse and it has been an honor to create her portraits on several occasions. I look forward to working with her again in the future.
